Match Report: Gosford All Blacks 7-10 Abingdon

Abingdon travelled to Gosford All Blacks on Saturday and emerged triumphant in a hard
fought contest. Playing with a string wide in the first half Abingdon turned round 5-0 ahead following a try from No8 Steve Grant. The second half saw Abingdon on the defencive and a
dodgy decision to award a try saw Gosford more 7-5 ahead with half hour to play. Abingdon
tightened up the game and following good driving from their own line a break by Steve Grant
saw him reach the 22 , a deft pass from the No8 to Adam Bodell saw the winger in full flight
to beat the full back and run in a try from 75 metres. Abingdon saw out the final 15 minutes
with minim alarm and finished worthy winners.
