Match Report: Drifters 19-15 Abingdon
Abingdon travelled to Farnham Drifter RFC on Saturday and were just edged out 19-15, despite Abingdon scoring 3 tries to 1. Vince Barnes opened the scoring running in an interception from 80 metres. A push over try by No. 08 Steve Grant saw Abingdon into a 10-3 lead at half time. The second half saw the home side move into a 16-10 lead, but Abingdon came back to within a point with a second try by Steve Grant. A late penalty made the game safe for Drifters 19-15.
