Problems Fixed
Match Report: Phoenix 36-18 Abingdon
Abingdon travelled to Phoenix RFC with a weakened side and lost 36-18. A poor start saw
the away side fall 10-0 behind but spirited resistance following a bad looking injury to Rob
Barker saw Abingdon turn round 11-10 to the good with Adam Boodell scoring from 70 metres and Ben Humpage kicking two penalties. The second half was close fought and
Abingdon was only 11-15 down when a yellow card to Mark Harvey further depleted the side.
Phoenix pulled out to a 29 -11 lead when a try to Bert Maddison and conversion by Ben Humpage pulled the score back to 29-18. A beak away by Phoenix in the last minute saw them run out 36-18 winners. A great effort by Abingdon.
